I worked on this project as a Graduate Student, the goal was to test out a large scale collaborative project between projections and sound design that could be replicated for future classes. We were tasked with creating a large scale sound and projection experience that was inspired by a fairy tale- Little Red Ridding Hood. The larger projection design concept was to create different interior wall scenes with pictures, knickknacks, and wallpaper that corresponded to different parts of the story (Little Red at Home, Starting Her Journey, Picking Flowers in the Wood, The Wolf Eating Grandma, etc.) and that incorporated moving video elements. I created a lot of the visual content for this project in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere , and did all of the video editing in around two weeks. I really only had some minor experience with Premiere before working on this project, so while I have a lot of things I would do differently now knowing more about video playback and projection surfaces, I think this is a good example of my ability to jump into a project and try stuff out.

THE THANKSGIVING PLAY

Video Editing and
Programmer (Qlab)
The director for this show was interested in approaching the Interludes that occur between each of the regular scenes of the play in a Meta-theatrical way with projections. I helped facilitate the recording of the interludes scenes, edited the footage, and then programmed the videos with Qlab. The interlude videos were simultaneous projected onto the white board of the set and played on an actual CRT TV from our stock (with a Laptop receiving network Qlab cues hidden in the TV cabinet). I was interested in simultaneous using different eras of technology to visually explore the continuation of racist indoctrination through different eras of education.
